Field trials were conducted in 2004 and 2005 to determine the response of cotton to application of Telone II. Nematode assays conducted following harvest in 2005 showed a significant reduction in populations of southern root-knot nematode in the plots treated with Telone for two consecutive years when compared to the check. In 2006 subsequent research was conducted to determine the effect of this reduction in populations as compared to additional Telone treatments. Growth differences could be observed with the residual effects of previous Telone application as compared to the check. Yield data will be obtained used a harvester with a yield monitor and analyzed for yield response.
