Progress in Screening Obsolete Race Stocks and Other Wild Cottons for Useful Traits at the Crops Genetic Research Facility at the Texas A&M Research and Extension Center at Lubbock, Texas

Obsolete race stocks and other wild cottons are being screened for useful characteristics such as drought tolerance, salt tolerance, thrips, cotton aphid and Lygus bug resistance and disease resistance. A variety of experiments were conducted in 2006, and progress in these tests is reported.
