In 2006 Bollgard® II stacked with Roundup Ready Flex® was introduced into the marketplace in several varieties. 2006 was the first year of significant use of the Bollgard II trait (>2 million acres) and Lepidopteran insect pressure was moderate to high in many areas where Bollgard II was grown. This paper will discuss insect control experiences with commercial Bollgard II use in 2006, as well as related research results generated in 2006.
