In 2004 and 2006, cotton field plots were side-dressed with TemikŪ. Seven days following sidedress application, late instar tarnished plant bugs, Lygus lineolaris, were placed in sleeve cages on cotton plants and allowed to feed for seven days. Plants and cages were then removed from the field and examined to determine the number of living and dead nymphs. Cages were then replaced in the field and new nymphs were reintroduced. This process was repeated three times in 2004 and four times in 2006. Mortality data were examined to determine the magnitude and duration of TemikŪ activity.
