Cotton varieties are continually being produced and marketed by various seed companies from across the U.S. in the LRGV. The testing of the varieties is deemed necessary by cotton producers in the LRGV who want to know how newer and experimental varieties perform under different conditions in the LRGV. Twenty-one cotton varieties were evaluated for yield, fiber quality and net return in a replicated large plot trial in a dryland field on the El Sauz Ranch in Willacy County, Texas.
