A comparative description of seven cotton germplasm lines released by the University of Arkansas in 2006 will be presented. These lines vary with respect to yield, adaptation, yield components, fiber properties, and specific morphological and host plant resistance traits. The seven lines include four high glanding lines (Arkot 9304a, Arkot 9304b, Arkot 9308, and Arkot 8314), two lines with excellent combinations of yield component (Arkot 9506 and Arkot 9513) and one line with particularly good yielding ability (Arkot RM24). These lines provide new genetic material to public and private cotton breeders. Use of the lines should provide a broadened the genetic base of materials adapted generally to the Mid-South and specifically to some other regions.
