Field experiments were conducted in 2006 at Stoneville, MS to examine weed control benefit and yield potential of narrow row (15”) system versus that of wide row (40”) cotton system. Roundup Ready Flex cotton with five plant populations (30,000; 40,000; 50,000; 60,000; 80,000 plants/acre) in narrow row were compared to 40,000 plants/acre in wide rows under irrigated and non-irrigated environment. First year data on lint yield and picker harvest efficiency will be presented.
