Dicrotophos (Bidrin) is currently undergoing the reregistration process with the EPA. The IRED was published in the Federal Register on February 5, 2003 (Volume 68, Number 24). EPA's list of proposed risk mitigation measures is included in the IRED. Since that time AMVAC has provided additional information that has led to a reconsideration of some of the proposed mitigation measures. AMVAC expects the reregistration process to be complete prior to the 2006 Beltwide Cotton Conferences. We would like to communicate all changes in the label based on the final RED. Bidrin continues to be a high value product to cotton producers due to its excellent activity of plant bugs and stink bugs as well as other pests. It is an excellent tool for use in an IPM program in rotations and tank mix combinations with other insecticides.
