Cotton varieties DP 555BG/RR, DP 445BG/RR, ST 5599BR, ST 5424BR, and FM 960B2R were evaluated under no-till and conventional tillage cropping systems. Additionally, response to Pentia, mepiquat pentaborate, was evaluated for each of the varieties and the two cropping systems. The trial location had been in no-till soybean production prior to 2004. The treatment plots were four rows each, 80 feet long, spaced 40 inches apart. Results indicate the effect of cropping systems, varieties, and mepiquat pentaborate on lint yield and fiber quality.
