Narrow-row (15-inch) cotton production is currently being revisited with the recent commercialization of a cotton harvester that is capable of spindle-picking cotton in a 15-inch row configuration. This type production system may have a benefit to producers in North Carolina. Therefore, trials were conducted to determine the proper planting dates and plant populations needed for cotton grown at this row-spacing. Various planting dates and plant populations were examined in order to understand their effects on growth, maturity, fruiting patterns, and yield.
