Paper will describe the commercial results from a new sensing technology for measuring final bale moisture. Results will be shown from in-gin system operations during the 2005 season. Installation of the system and operation of the sensor will be detailed and shown in video and pictures and technical schematics. Results will be presented from final bale moisture trials using traditional steam moisture restoration systems as well as spray systems that add moisture to the cotton passing down the bale slide. Individual bale moisture profiles will be compared using the different moisture restoration systems. Bale moisture results and comparisons with oven test results will be detailed and examined.
