Delta and Pine Land is planning to potentially commercialize three new mid-full maturing varieties that have Bollgard II and Roundup Flex technology (DP 143 B2RF, DP 156 B2RF, and DP 164 B2RF), and three new mid-full maturing varieties that have Roundup Flex technology (DP 147 RF, DP 152 RF, and DP 167 RF) for the picker market. The six varieties are derived from elite conventional varieties that are well-known, well-tested by D&PL and in state university official variety trials, and well-adapted across the cotton belt. Fiber quality potential for all six varieties has been very good to excellent. We are anticipating good supplies of all six varieties for the 2006 season.
