Bayer CropScience has six new cotton varieties being released for the 2006 planting season that will have an excellent fit in West Texas and the northern Panhandle. All six of these varieties have herbicide and/or insecticide technology traits associated with them. FM 9058F, AFD 3070F, AFD 3074F, and AFD 5064F utilize the Roundup Flex technology. AFD 5065B2F contains both the Roundup Flex and Bollgard II technologies. AFD 5062LL is a new variety with the LibertyLink technology. Variety descriptions and appropriate testing data for these new varieties will be presented.
