Boll Retention of PHY 410 R and PHY 470 WR Expressing the WideStrikeTMInsect Protection Trait In 2004 Field Trials

Natural infestations of tobacco budworm, cotton bollworm, loopers, and armyworms ranged from moderate to extremely high in the 2004 small plot and strip trial program in the eastern cotton belt. Treatments included lep insecticide sprayed and lep non-insecticide sprayed plots. This paper will summarize the effect of various levels of pest pressure on mapped boll distributions of PHY 470 WR, which expresses the WideStrikeTM Insect Protection trait, as compared to PHY 410 R.
