This paper will summarize the performance of PHY 410 R and PHY 470 WR expressing the WideStrikeTM Insect Protection trait in the eastern cotton belt. Natural infestations of tobacco budworms, cotton bollworm, loopers, and armyworms ranged from moderate to extremely high in 2005 strip trials and will help characterize WideStrike performance under commercial conditions. Treatments included insecticide sprayed and non-insecticide sprayed plots. Scouting results, yields and lint quality data will be presented.
