The comparative efficacy of Bt (DPL 424-Bollgard II) and non Bt conventional variety (DPL 5415 RR) of cottons on Noctuidae complex were conducted in Hidalgo County LRGV of Texas during 2004-2005. Under high population of Noctuidae complex, Bt cotton significantly reduced cotton leaf and fruit damage, and the presence of live larvae throughout growing season. This increased control resulted in a greater yield. Under low to moderate worm populations these two technologies was similar in damage and yield.
