A field study was conducted to compare the effects of the cotton defoliant, Def 6 in combination with each of the adjuvants Prep, MFX 0543, MFX 0307, HM 7912 and HM 0540. Treatments were applied to cotton var. 'DP 444 B/RR' at 60% open bolls. The treatment plots were four rows each, 40 feet long, spaced 38 inches apart and replicated four times as a randomized complete block. The percent cotton defoliation and the percent open bolls are given at 7 and 14 days and the percent cotton shoot regrowth at 21 days after treatment. Results indicate which adjuvants increased, decreased, or had no effect on cotton defoliation and boll opening.
