Field Evaluation of Lummus Gin Machinery - 2018

Lummus Corporation conducted two separate studies during the Fall 2018 ginning season, and the results are presented.  The first project was a comparative analysis of Lummus’ newest concept in seed cotton drying versus a conventional high-volume tower dryer system, while the second was a side-by-side comparison of the latest Lummus high-capacity saw gin versus two vintages of the previous-model Lummus gin stand.  Both studies were conducted in commercial gin plants under production conditions.  These studies are conducted as part of Lummus’ ongoing product development and improvement efforts to provide products that address the changing needs and conditions in the ginning industry.
