This presentation will report testing results of the USDA-ARS plastic detection and removal system installed on the #4 gin stand feeder apron at the Lubbock Gin Lab.  Testing evaluated yellow, green, and pink plastic module wrap ranging in size from 1/2-inch to 2-inches with the plastic mixed into the seed cotton prior to being fed through the gin stand feeder.  Plastic removed was accounted for in the feeder as well as the feeder apron removal system.  Additional testing is currently underway and if the data is finished and analyzed prior to the meeting, will be presented as well.
