Long Term Yield and Fiber Quality Trends in Deltapine Varieties Released from 1980 to 2018

Yield and fiber quality data from a 24 year archive of on-farm and public variety testing of Deltapine varieties, candidate lines and commercial checks was conducted to determine genetic gain of yield and fiber quality over that period. Years of testing range from 1994 to 2017. Years of release of the varieties tested range from 1980 to 2017. Particular focus will be placed on yield steps and fiber quality gains by year of release of Deltapine varieties. Beltwide and regional views of the data will both be addressed.
