This oral presentation will report progresses in evaluating more than 700 lines for salt tolerance in the greenhouse conditions. These lines were dervied from a multi-parent random-mated population between three Upland cotton cultivars (Gossypium hirsutum) and 18 chromosome substition lines of Upland cotton each with a pair of chromosomes or chromosome arms from G. barbadense 3-79.
