Tarnished plant bug has become the most ecnomocially important pest of cotton across the midsouth cotton growing region. Due to the average number of applications required to control this pest from year to year research has shifted toward looking at other control methods. This research not only observed how nitrogen affected cotton growth and yield, but also its effects on tarnished plant bug populations and control.
