Field trials were conducted in GA, AL, SC, and VA during 2013 and 2014 to investigate the potential interaction of thrips management programs with PRE herbicides.  In some environments PRE herbicides can create plant stress which slows seedling development.  Slow growing seedlings are believed to be at greater risk of thrips injury.  Thrips injury and plant growth and yields will be discussed.
