Recent studies on removing seed coat fragments (SCF) with experimental grid bars has suggested that using an air knife mounted on the first lint cleaner grid bar may help remove SFC by blowing the fragments out of the lint steam and depositing them into the trash stream.  Current work to develop the air knife will be presented.
