Cotton Nematodes And Our Management Options Today
Plant parasitic nematodes are economically important pests of cotton throughout the Cotton Belt. The focus of this workshop is to provide producers, crop consultants, and extension personnel with relevant management options. Regional experts will be available to discuss a variety of topics including 1) nematode identification, distribution, and biology; 2) root-knot and reniform resistance breeding efforts; 3) nematicide efficacy data; 4) variable rate success stories; 5) cultural options available for nematode control; and 5) interactions between nematodes and fungal pathogens.
