Soil Compaction in Soils Under Different Irrigation Systems

Cone penetrometer resistance and volumetric moisture content were measured in two fields in the Delta region of Arkansas. Field one is located at the Judd Hill plantation and is irrigated with a sub-surface drip system, while field two is irrigated with a Low Pressure System at the Lon Mann Cotton Research Station. Measurements were also collected from areas of the fields that were irrigated with polypipe. Results of such measurements will be presented.
