Bioassay Susceptibility of Twospotted Spider Mite, Tetranychus urticae, to Acaricides in the San Joaquin Valley

Treanna Pierce and Larry D. Godfrey. University of California, Dept. of Entomology, UC Cotton REC, 17053 Shafter Ave., Shafter, CA 93263

Petri dish bioassay methods were used to evaluate twospottted spider mite susceptibility to acaracides, both recently registered and standard materials. Mite colonies from five locations in the San Joaquin Valley were established and used for this study. These data will represent baseline susceptibility for the newer products and tests for any possible resistance development for the long-time standards.
