Sangnyeol Jung, Department of Business and Political Affairs, Southwest Minnesota State University, 1501 State Street, Marshall, MN 56258 and Conrad P. Lyford, Texas Tech University, Box 42132, Lubbock, TX 79407.

A common need in cotton producing regions is to consider the priorities and needs to enhance quality.  This study uses a needs assessment tool to evaluate production capabilities and market needs for the West Texas cotton region.   This has the goal of strategically marketing regional cotton by not only measuring customers’ needs for cotton quality but also evaluating producers’ quality production capabilities.
