HA211- Hazera's Newest Hybrid Cotton

Barry Younkin, Hazera Seeds Inc., 13427 East Ashlan, Sanger, CA 93657

HA211 is the newest hybrid cotton coming from Hazera Genetics.

HA211 will be in addition to HA195 and HA175. HA175 is a short season variety, HA195 is a longer season variety and HA211 fits in between. HA211 has the same hybrid qualities; high yields, irrigation efficiency, ability to endure poor soils, and good disease tolerance.

Like HA195, which was the first variety in what will be a long line of hybrids, HA211 is interspecific (hirsutum x barbadense). However, HA211 is a more compact plant, determinate and grower friendly. In trials over the last 3 years HA211 has out yielded HA195, and has been more heat tolerant. Most importantly HA211 has had better grades and better fiber quality.
