Field trials were conducted in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama to investigate the impact boll feeding bugs have on cotton fiber quality.  Trials included various treatments including an untreated check, aggressively sprayed, and intermediate treatments such as thresholds.  Seedcotton was machine picked and processed at the UGA microgin.  Lint samples were submitted to Cotton Incorporated for HVI and AFIS fiber quality analysis.  A range of boll feeding bug infestations were observed in the trial locations and the impact of boll feeding bug damage will be correlated with fiber quality measures.
