Seed Treatments: How Effective Are They for Seedling Disease Management in Louisiana Cotton

M.A. Purvis, LSU AgCenter, Macon Ridge Research Station, 212 Macon Ridge Road / Building A, Winnsboro, LA 71295 and G. Boyd Padgett, Louisiana State University, 212 Macon Ridge Road, Bldg. A, Winnsboro, LA 71295.

Interest in seed treatments has increased exponentially over the last several. Therefore, in an effort to determine their utility, selected seed treatments were evaluated for efficacy against seedling diseases common to Louisiana cotton. Tests were conducted in northeast Louisiana on the Macon Ridge and Northeast Research stations, as well as, off-station locations. Treatments were evaluated for effects on stand establishment, vigor, maturity, and yield. This poster will present a summary of these tests.
