Response of Cotton at Different Stress Levels to Trimax Pro

Lowell Zelinski, Precision Ag. Inc., 179 Niblick Road, No. 330, Paso Robles, CA 93446 and Wolfgang Thielert, Bayer CropScience, Building 6220, Alfred-Nobel-Str. 50, Monheim, Germany.

This paper describes the affects of Trimax Pro and three other insecticides on the fruiting patterns and yields of cotton grown in the San Joaquin Valley over the past two years. It does not discuss the insecticidal performance of the treatments. Additionally the treatments were applied in fields of high variability that was characterized using aerial imaging and NDVI analysis. Yield information was collected using yield monitors and plant growth parameters identified using plant mapping were related to treatment (insecticide) and stress level as identified by the NDVI analysis.
