Cotton seed technologies are changing rapidly. In Georgia, over 90 percent of cotton acres are planted to Round-Up Ready (BR or RR) varieties. Georgia cotton producers in recent years have switched acreage from RR to BR. New technologies such a BII, RR-Flex, and Liberty Link (LL) are also available to producers. The study presents the results of 5 years (2001-2005) comparison of yield, fiber quality, costs, and net return of cotton varieties within various seed technologies or production systems. Each variety was produced in accordance with it's own herbicide and or insecticide management program and in accordance with UGA Extension Service recommendations.
