GreenStar 2: This Changes Everything

Jarred Karnei, John Deere, 4140 NW 114th Street, Urbandale, IA 50322

John Deere AMS is excited to introduce the all new GreenStar 2 displays! The new displays are the GreenStar Display (GSD) 2100 and 2600. They feature state-of-the-art full-color screens that allow the operator to configure and simultaneously view multiple applications for farms, fields, or tasks.

Every GSD 2100 and 2600 comes loaded with GreenStar Basics software, which includes:

• Manual Guidance - Straight track, curved track and row finder.

• On-screen Mapping – The new displays have as-applied and coverage mapping that will allow growers to be more efficient in the field.

• Documentation – Record information about every field operation. Harvest documentation to come in the spring of 2006, compatible with John Deere 50 and 60 Series Combines with the grain-tank-mounted moisture sensor.

• Map Based Prescription – Gives you the ability to variable rate crop inputs.

If you need more features from your GreenStar 2 System, Pro Modules are available to enhance the functionality of the GSD 2100 and 2600.

The AutoTrac pro module includes a perspective view and visibility of the headlands for hands-free equipment operation at the push of a button. This guidance-system software has a new feature, Curve Track, which allows engagement of the system on curved passes.

The PivotPro module allows customers who farm with irrigation pivots to utilize manual guidance or AutoTrac in circular field plots.
