The objectives of this research are to: a) determine the effect of changes in environmental conditions on HVI measurements over a wide range of environments with a diverse set of test cottons and b) concurrently test the precision and accuracy of a comprehensive set of instruments used for moisture measurements in cotton (these will be compared to a standard oven test method).
