Interest in Roundup Ready Flex cotton cultivars will be considerable leading up to the anticipated launch of the new technology in 2006. Multiple replicated field trials comparing numerous Roundup Ready Flex cultivars were established in 2005. Southwest locations included sites in Texas and Oklahoma. All sites were replicated, and some were small plot while others were large plot. “Standard” cultivars currently locally planted were also included to establish meaningful comparisons. Lint yield and fiber quality were determined for each cultivar.
