New Liquid Gypsum for Hard Soils

Glen McDonald, Ultimate Products (Aust) Pty ltd, 522 Princes Highway, NOBLE PARK, 3174, Australia

We are Australian manufacturer of liquid suspensions for agricultural markets, and we would like to be considered for a presentation in the New Developments division at the Beltwide Cotton Conference in January 2006.

Our point of difference is the ability to produce stable, liquid suspensions of various micronised minerals. Our products are all high-solids formulations, which means that the level of active components is also high.

We believe that one of our products in particular – Gyp Flo liquid gypsum – would have strong interest for U.S. cotton growers. This product is a concentrated suspension of micronised calcium carbonate and sulphur (which react in the soil in the same way as gypsum), and it can be applied at planting to improve the soil conditions in the root zone. Alternatively, it can be applied to the soil after planting to minimize soil crusting.

The very fine particle sizes ensure a rapid response in the soil, and there are no blockages or settlement in irrigation systems.

Gyp Flo is well established in the Australian cotton market, but we have not yet launched it in the U.S. It is patented in both Australia and the U.S.

Our website www.ultimatefertilisers.com.au has further information on Gyp Flo and our other liquid suspensions.

Our liquid lime, liquid zinc oxide and liquid sulphur suspensions would also be of interest to cotton growers.
