Barry J. Brecke, University of Florida, 5988 Highway 90, Building 4900, Milton, FL 32583 and Daniel O. Stephenson IV, University of Arkansas, 1224 West County Road 780, Post Ofice Box 48, Keiser, AR 72351.

Research was conducted during 2003, 2004 and 2005 to evaluate weed management with Ignite in Liberty Link cotton. Ignite was applied at 32 oz product/A as single or multiple applications postemergence. Two applications of Ignite provided excellent control of sicklepod, redweed, Florida beggarweed, and smallflower morningglory. Annual grass control was often not adequate. Control of tropical spiderwort varied between years from poor to good. Addition of Dual to the first Ignite application improved control of tropical spiderwort as did directed postemergence application of Direx following the second Ignite application. Ignite did not injure Liberty Link cotton at any of the rates tested.
