Summary of Precision Farming Practices and Perceptions of Mississippi Cotton Producers: Results from the 2005 Southern Precision Farming Survey

Swagata "Ban" Banerjee, Mississippi State University, PO Box 197, Stoneville, MS 38776 and Steven W. Martin, PO Box 69, Stoneville, MS 38776.

This poster will present Mississippi results from a 2005 survey of cotton farmers in 11 states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia) designed to evaluate their use of cotton precision farming technologies. It will be one of a series of posters that will present findings for the 11-state region and for each of seven states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee). The poster will concentrate mostly on findings from the 2005 survey for Mississippi. Presentation alongside the six posters for the other states and the 11-state aggregate poster will allow direct comparisons of Tennessee results with those for the other states and the 11-state region.
