Horizon Ag's product, QHP was applied to Acala Riata cotton to evaluate its effect on lint yields and fiber quality. QHP was side dressed at a rate of 2 gallons per acre, 43 days after emergence, when the cotton was beginning to square. It was shanked 6 inches to the side and 6 inches below the drill row. A second treatment followed three days later in which 2 gallons per acre QHP were applied in a water run application. On the same date, a third treatment was applied which consisted of 2 gallons QHP per acre side dressed and 2 gallons per acre QHP water run. All treatments were replicated four times in a large field test.
