Dieter H. Mueller, BIK, University Bremen, Badgasteinerstrasse 1, D-28359 Bremen, D-28359, Germany

Spunlacing offers possibilities also for natural fibers as cotton and others to achieve special parameters which are excellent for technical nonwovens. The paper presents results of tests toproduce spunlaced nonwovens made of different fibers, as cotton for example, and blends of natural and synthetic fibers. The parameters of the spunlace process are described. Technical parameters of the finished products are demonstrated.
